Today I returned to the battlefield, appropriately dressed in camou, after taking the weekend off. My routine is to start Monday in the gym, therefore, weather can never be an excuse not to work out. Plus, I like the motivating environment we all need on a Monday morning. Part of that motivation comes from my drill sergeant, Rob Paci of Joey D Golf, with the other (important-to-the-process part) being me showing up. Rob leads me through a series of resistance circuits with intermittent sixty-seconds cardio (jump rope, treadmill, or squat jumps). My heart rate goes through the roof and I get an incredible sweat in. With these sessions, the tone is set for my week and I’m one day closer to the fitness level I aspire to.
